Takedown Piracy, Clips4Sale Note Removal of 3M 'Infringements'

LAS VEGAS — Anti-piracy service Takedown Piracy (TDP) is touting the removal of three million "infringements" in six months through an ongoing agreement with Clips4Sale.

"We were thrilled when Clips4Sale asked us to provide comprehensive content protection for their producers, as too many such platforms do not afford more than the appearance of anti-piracy benefits, if any at all," TDP's VP of Marketing and Communications Reba Rocket said.

"We knew it would be an enormous undertaking, but we were absolutely prepared for the task," she added.

Since July 2020, noted a rep, TDP has worked to digitally fingerprint over seven-million videos in the Clips4Sale catalog. The fingerprinting technology provided by TDP's tech partner, Clip Sentry, "does not require the cooperation of the 130 monitored tube sites. This technology, along with TDP's other proprietary software and protocols, has allowed us to identify and remove over 3 million infringements for Clips4Sale, across thousands of sites, including tube sites, torrents, file lockers, forums, blogs and search engines."

Clips4Sale General Manager Dariusz said the company's growth prompted the decision to "protect our producers in an industry-leading way, no matter if our producers uploaded elsewhere."

"With TDP, we knew they had the same industry-leading approach with their technology, skill, and drive to protect content," he added

Rocket noted TDP also offers "affordable solutions" to independent producers who ask for assistance.
